The element travels into its own shadow instead of scaling.
Historical Impact
The signature interaction translates a physical key press with two numbers: move the element by the shadow offset and collapse the shadow to zero. There is no spring, no easing curve worth speaking of, and no scale — the displacement is the whole effect.
