Apple iCal (OS X / iOS)

Historical Impact

Apple's iCal and Calendar apps in the iOS 5–6 era leaned heavily into skeuomorphism — stitched leather textures, torn-paper month headers, and ring-bound calendar metaphors. The design made abstract scheduling feel familiar by borrowing from desk calendars and planners.
