Stripe — WebGL Fluid Mesh Gradient
Caption
A continuously morphing shader mesh that set the technical high-water mark for the style.
Historical Impact
Stripe’s WebGL gradient heroes are the era’s most studied specimen: hardware-accelerated colour fields that morph behind sparse type and hairline surfaces. Reimplemented across the industry, they proved the background could be the brand while the interface stayed almost silent.
